Seventh Grade Explores History in Philadelphia
Walking Through History: Seventh Grade Explores Philadelphia and America’s Revolutionary Past

Our seventh grade students recently embarked on an unforgettable educational adventure to Philadelphia, immersing themselves in the rich history of our nation while making memories together along the way.
The day began bright and early as students boarded the bus and headed south for a full day of exploration, learning, and plenty of fun. Their first stop was the famous Reading Terminal Market, where students enjoyed some of Philadelphia’s most iconic local fare. From authentic cheesesteaks and loaded fries to warm soft pretzels, there was something delicious for everyone to enjoy.
After lunch, the class stepped back in time as they toured some of America’s most historic landmarks. Students explored Independence Hall, where both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were debated and signed. They also visited the iconic Liberty Bell and continued their Revolutionary-era journey through the fascinating exhibits at the Museum of the American Revolution.
Our Hamilton fans were especially excited to discover the statue of Alexander Hamilton along the way, adding another memorable moment to an already incredible day of American history.
Of course, no St. Rose trip would be complete without plenty of laughter and fun along the way. Students took every opportunity to “hacky” throughout the day, bringing energy and joy to every stop on the trip.
A very special thank you goes to Mrs. Quinn for coordinating this incredible educational experience for our students. We are also deeply grateful to our teacher chaperones, Mrs. Petrillo and Mrs. Kirkman, as well as the many parent volunteers who helped make the trip such a success.
Experiences like these bring classroom learning to life and help create lasting memories for our students. What an amazing day for our seventh graders!
