Father Bob's Sweet Tradition Brings Smiles to St. Rose Students
Creating Memories, One Scoop at a Time

One of our cherished traditions at St. Rose School took place once again this year, thanks to the generosity and kindness of our former pastor, Monsignor Robert "Father Bob" Weiss.
For many years, Father Bob has treated St. Rose students to a special trip across the street to Holy Cow Ice Cream, creating lasting memories and bringing joy to generations of Rams. What began as a simple gesture has become a beloved tradition that students eagerly anticipate each year.
From cups and cones to colorful toppings like Fruity Pebbles and sprinkles, every student was able to choose their favorite sweet treat and enjoy a special outing with classmates. The smiles, excitement, and laughter shared throughout the day were a wonderful reminder of the strong sense of community that makes St. Rose so special.
While the ice cream is certainly a highlight, the true gift is Father Bob's continued love and support for our school. Even after his time as pastor, he remains deeply connected to the St. Rose community and continues to find meaningful ways to brighten the lives of our students.
A special thank you to Holy Cow Ice Cream for helping make this beloved tradition possible year after year. As a staple of the Newtown community, Holy Cow has generously welcomed generations of St. Rose students through its doors, creating memories that last far beyond a scoop of ice cream. We are grateful for their partnership, community spirit, and continued support of our school and families.
We are incredibly grateful to Father Bob for carrying on this time-honored tradition and for his unwavering generosity, kindness, and dedication to the students and families of St. Rose School. Thank you, Father Bob, for making another sweet memory for our students and for reminding us all of the importance of community, gratitude, and giving back.
