Kindergarten Graduation Celebrates a Year of Growth, Faith, and Friendship
Kindergarten students celebrate a year of accomplishments surrounded by family, friends, and their St. Rose community.

The St. Rose School community recently gathered to celebrate a very special milestone as our kindergarten students marked the completion of their first year of elementary school during the annual Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony.
Dressed proudly in their blue caps and gowns, the students processed into the Gathering Hall as families, faculty, and friends looked on with smiles and admiration. The ceremony began with Monsignor Robert "Father Bob" Weiss, who has faithfully participated in this cherished tradition for many years and generations of St. Rose students. He opened the celebration with prayer, reminding students and families of the faith-filled foundation that guides their educational journey.
The graduates opened the ceremony with prayer, reciting both the Our Father and the St. Michael Prayer before sharing several of the songs and lessons they have learned throughout the year. Families enjoyed hearing favorites such as the Days of the Week song and a collection of memorable jingles that have become a signature part of Mrs. Rahtelli's classroom. One highlight was the students' rendition of Take Me Out to the Ball Game, a fitting tribute to Mrs. Rahtelli's love for her favorite team, the New York Mets.
Following their performances, each student proudly walked across the stage to receive a diploma from Father Bob, celebrating a year filled with growth, learning, and accomplishment. Families then had the opportunity to capture photos and memories as the students celebrated this important milestone.
The ceremony also provided an opportunity to recognize the many individuals who helped make the year so successful. Special thanks were extended to classroom aides Mrs. Asetta and Mrs. Lovely for their dedication, support, and care for the students throughout the school year.
One of the most meaningful moments of the celebration was the participation of the students' fourth-grade buddies. Throughout the year, the buddy program has fostered friendships, mentorship, and a strong sense of community between grade levels. To commemorate the occasion, each fourth-grade buddy created a special card congratulating their kindergarten partner on reaching this milestone.
The buddy program is a wonderful example of what makes St. Rose School special. It demonstrates how students of all ages support one another, build lasting relationships, and grow together as members of one school family. These connections help create a welcoming environment where students feel encouraged, valued, and inspired to succeed.
Congratulations to our Kindergarten Class! We are proud of all you have accomplished and look forward to watching you continue to grow as learners, leaders, and members of the St. Rose School community.
