Creativity in Action: Art at St. Rose School
Celebrating creativity, culture, and the heart of St. Rose

At St. Rose School, creativity is alive and thriving in our art classroom under the guidance of our talented art teacher, Mrs. Ferriter.Students across all grade levels are exploring a wide range of artistic mediums, giving them the opportunity to express themselves in unique and meaningful ways.
From watercolor painting and sketching to working with tissue paper, crayons, and markers, our students are encouraged to experiment, take creative risks, and discover their individual artistic voice. Each project reflects not only skill development, but also imagination, confidence, and joy.
A unique and meaningful aspect of our program is the collaboration between Mrs. Ferriter and our social studies teacher, Mrs. Quinn. Together, they align art projects with cultural studies throughout the year, focusing on a specific region of the world. This year, our students have been learning about South American cultures, bringing those influences into their artwork in thoughtful and creative ways.
This connection will come to life at our upcoming Art Show, where student work will be proudly displayed. Even more special, this year’s show will support a greater cause, proceeds will benefit an orphanage in Ecuador, allowing our students to see how their creativity can make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom.
To further celebrate our young artists, St. Rose proudly recognizes an Art Student of the Month from each grade level . This recognition highlights students who demonstrate creativity, effort, and a positive attitude in the art room.
We are so proud of the beautiful work our students are creating and grateful to Mrs. Ferriter for inspiring a love of art, culture, and compassion in our school community.
