St. Rose Students Serve Those Who Served
Students come together in faith and gratitude to honor those who served.

At St. Rose School, faith and service go hand in hand—and our recent Day of Service for Veterans was a beautiful example of our students living out those values.
In honor of Veterans Day, students from every grade came together in the Gathering Hall to assemble care packages for veterans at the VA Hospital in West Haven. The packages were filled with toiletry items, hats, gloves, socks, and handwritten cards of gratitude created by our students. Each note carried a personal message of appreciation and hope, reminding our veterans that their service and sacrifices will never be forgotten.
The day was filled with purpose and compassion as students worked side by side—sorting donations, packing bags, and writing prayers. It was inspiring to see younger students looking up to the older grades, learning what it means to serve others with love and respect.
Special thanks to our faculty, parent volunteers, and the St. Rose community for donating the items that made this project possible. The Veterans Day care packages are now on their way to bring comfort and smiles to those who have given so much to our country.
At St. Rose School, service is more than a one-time event—it’s part of who we are. Through acts of kindness like this, our students truly bloom in mind, heart, and soul.
