Our Class Is a Family ❤️
Third grade is starting the school year with a wonderful reminder that a classroom is about so much more than learning—it’s also about creating a place where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and valued.
After reading Our Class Is a Family by Shannon Olsen, our third graders embraced their theme for the year: “Our Classroom Family.”
To help bring the message to life, each student received a special bracelet featuring colors that represent the qualities they hope to carry with them throughout the year: kindness, respect, support, caring, and celebrating one another.
Just like a family, a classroom is a place where we encourage each other, celebrate successes, lend a hand when someone needs it, and make sure everyone knows they belong.
What a beautiful way for our third graders to begin the year and build a classroom family rooted in kindness and community! ❤️
St. Rose Students “Chalk the Walk” with Creativity
This past Saturday, several St. Rose School students put their creativity on display by participating in the Lions Club’s “Chalk the Walk” competition.
Armed with sidewalk chalk and plenty of imagination, students transformed sections of pavement into colorful works of art. Among our participating artists were Kenny Utter, who created a beautiful mountain landscape, and Alison Pendergast, whose patriotic design honored lives lost.
We are so proud of our students for taking the time to participate in this wonderful community event and for representing St. Rose with such creativity and enthusiasm. A special thank you to the Lions Club for providing our young artists with an opportunity to share their talents with the community.
Winners are expected to be announced by the end of the week, and we’ll be cheering on all of our St. Rose participants!
