3 Year Old Mrs. Calderone and Mrs. Robinson
April, 2006 Dear Parents, As we are in the season of Lent, we are focusing on the life of Jesus and prayer. We are preparing for Easter by hearing stories about Jesus, praying for special people in our lives and participating in fun activities. THEME Our monthly themes are Easter and spring. We will visit the church and take walks outside to look for different signs of spring. RELIGION Our stories this month will be “Jesus Rides Like a King” and “A Sad Day, a Glad Day.” MONTHLY CONCEPTS The color purple will be introduced as well as the number 8 and the oval shape. NEED TO KNOW The children will have an Easter egg hunt on April 11. Please send in one dozen plastic eggs filled with treats before that date. Treats can be wrapped candy, stickers, etc. (no peanut product, please). Also send in a small basket for each child to use to find their eggs. IMPORTANT DATES School will be closed on Holy Thursday, April 13. School will also be closed the week of April 18th for Spring Break.
